Tom Ford film debut.

I am extremely excited about the AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL Tom Ford debuting as a film director this year…is there anything this man won’t do? And to make things even better colin Firth plays the lead. What a collaboration.

The film entitled ‘A Single Man’ is an adaptation of a novel by Christopher Isherwood from the 60′s. The story concerns George (Colin Firth), a gay man, who is left bereft after his lover passed away. After considering suicide, he starts to see the world in a new light, no doubt a cry at, laugh at and clap at film. Throughout, we get to see the brilliant Julianne Moore, who plays an English divorcee and Nicholas Hoult (About a Boy and Skins) who plays George’s cautious love interest.

Apparently, critics have been wowed by Ford’s first attempt at directing and Firths performance has made them almost certain that he will be bagging a couple of Oscar nominations.

Definitely cannot wait to see it.

Really moving, beautiful film. Not as raw as Brokeback Mountain, but although muted, just as emotional. Colin firth should win the Oscar.
